Broken Pieces

My memories. My fears. My desires.   
Torn away from me, like a mask torn from my face;   
And cast aside.   
I am left unprotected, unsafe, for all to see what I truly am.  What I truly want.   
And as they mock me, as they turn to one another to ally against me,  With sideways glances,  To deny me what my soul craves.   
I decide.   
I pound the mask; It shatters.  Again and again, fist after fist,  Shards become splinters, splinters become slivers, and smaller still,  The blood from my knuckles staying in the air,  Until all that is left is dust,

Recent Deviations

SilenceOne Wish  Anything in the world,  
What would it be?   
Silence.   
Twenty four hours of silence.   
An entire day for the media  Governments and people to get their  God damn facts straight, to  
rethink what they regard as the truth  and to reconsider who they value as  
their enemies, and disregard as  
their allies.  (We are all in this together)  And if nothing changes then it is still  a wish well spent.  A confirmation, if you will, of my predictions.  Inevitable, or so it seems now,  
Mankind will fall, Dystopia will rise. Silence

Mother NatureMother Nature and Father Time.   
 
Be it superstition, tradition or just  a myth, they are the pair that led  us to be here.   
But what do they think of their  
Bastard Sons?   
Obvious   
Mother Nature will no longer guard  over us when we are lost,   
Under the watchful eye of Father Time,  
we wither old and die.   
I sigh as I look at my watch, and  
realise that I still have two hours  
to amble with thoughts such as these. Mother Nature

Seeking SolaceSome people seek solace  in strange places.   
Some spend their entire lives looking  inside themselves, hoping to find  the truth to why they are there  looking for it.   
others spend their lives looking as  far as they can, hoping to find  proof that they are not alone in  the Universe, to find some comfort  
in the fact that there may be a  
civilisation more corrupt than mankind.   
I refuse to follow these paths, as there  
is only one place I can find solace.

Deep in ThoughtHere I sit,  Deep in thought, my my mind is  
EMPTY.  As the next steelclad box on rails  draws into the station,  Its Engine rattling beneath it  as it waits there  With its doors open.   
A bitter wind squeals through  the station as a hurried woman  jumps aboard, and halts momentarily  to continue flitting through a magazine,  staring at pictures of those false idols,  Wondering why she isn't there.   
The doors close, and  The train moves on.   
Now what was I thinking about again? Deep in Thought

but I've decided that due to a total lack of drawing ability (it's not that I can't visualise what I want to draw! i just ahve clumsy hands/or the message gets lost going from my brain to them...) I've decided to bend the rules, and write a poem for each theme instead.... ^^^ makes more sense to me!
